Back in the day I have to admit I was more into these then the Aircraft ones. Had a whole line-up of special purpose vehicles based on the Churchill.

Yeah, and the armour kits were cheaper than the aircraft ones - especially when something went wrong...  ;)

When the club had a D-Day display back in '14, I used a lot of Geoff Futter's Funnies articles to make various bits of the 79th AD.
Other than using the Matchbox Churchill instead, most of the mods used the old plans and techniques.

Oops - they were mostly from  Mil Mod, not Airfix...   :banghead:
But still, old-school techniques and plans from Back in the Day.
