Thanks Brian, I tried that and came up with a load of rubbish before.

But there's more Deep Sky shades than I can shake a stick at there! Including one that's a dead ringer for the paint I actually used!  :o

Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Dispaire's setting in over doing the Deep Sky now, so in the meanwhile I've masked up and painted the de-icer boots, and they look OK.

I'll probably re-mask everything next and re-do the top white colour.

Then I'll think about Deep Sky again...........  :-\

When I did my MB Long Ranger, I wanted a deep blue too, I ended up using Glossy Sea Blue

I've got some of that, in Tamiya or Gunze acrylic.

Here's a reference picture.
This is the sky over The Mornington Peninsula at 10 this morning. Complete with the Moon.

It gets deeper at the height of summer but this is, I feel, a very pleasing shade.
