Some other "What ifs" that I don't have pics of

As I'm new here to the forum and Have shown the two what if projects I actually have pictures of on the net to you, I thought at the very least I could tell you about some others I've done, have in progress or am thinking about doing:

Have done:
Gloster Blackburn Sea Javelin F(AW).6
Based it off of Heller's ancient Javelin T.3 kit, folded the wings, navalized her from the spares box and put her in FAA markings.

Vought F-8G Crusader
Built pretty much box stock from Hasegawa's 1/72 F-8E kit, built a small laser range finder just aft of the intake lip and hung laser bombs under the wings. Put spare Luftwaffe F-4F phantom II markings on it and gave it a wraparound splinter scheme based on the "European Lizard" scheme the USAF was using around the mid 80s

Fiat G.163 bis
Italian ME-163 Komet which I have posted pics of else where on this thread.

Commonwealth Nighthawk NF.MK.1b
Nightfighting Australian P-40 variant, also posted elsewhere on this thread.

In progress:

Canadair CF-112 Buccaneer
I'm building this from Airfix's 1/48 Buccaneer kit (yeah, I know, I'm a masochist!) It hasn't gotten too far yet and it will be a work in progress for some time to come. The Canadian markings will come from Belcher Bit's CF-101 Voodoo sheet.\

Northrop/Grumman TF-29
This is my 1/72 hypothetical two seat X-29 variant. I've grafted Revell Germany's F-5B nose onto the old Hasegawa X-29. I've picked up a couple of aftermarket Martin Baker MK.10 ejection seat to go in her. I haven't commited to a marking scheme yet, but I'm leaning toward Swiss or Dutch right now. Again, it will be a work in progress for some time to come.

Future "What if" plans

BAC F-111K
So far its just a bunch of work up drawings and sketches. I know a re-engining is in order, I'm thinking Rolls Royce Olympus' with thrust reversers or Speys and a brake chute arrangement. I'm considering a revised crew compartment that will do away with the ejecting capsule in favour of standard ejection seats, that should give me a few more options in where I can put an IFR probe. Beyond that its really a matter of chosing the scheme, I'm thinking a 70s era RAF Germany scheme or possibly a later low vis sceme similar t othe "Hemp" scheme the RAF gave to their Nimrods and Victor tankers.

Right now, I'm on a modeling hiatus of sorts, most of my models are packed up in boxes at my mom's place back in Canada waiting for me to sent for them or return to them, whichever the case may be.

As a sad footnote, the above mentioned Sea Javelin and F-8G Crusader are no longer with me, they did meet tragic ends which left them irreparable :(

Anyway, I'm happy to see there is a site out here dedicated strictly to the "What if" modeling, I love taking a break from modeling the real stuff sometimes, you know, let my mind wander in the "off leash" area of the park :D

Interesting concepts in there. Pity the Sea Javelin passed away as that would be rather nice to see.

As for the BAC F-111K, we do have a bit of Info it, The F-111K was a bog standard USAF F-111A with British Radio and some avionics from the TSR-2 program. The Bombay was fitted with an optional rig to allow a pylon to be attached below it if the bomb space was used for other purposes.

The Refuelling prob was installed in a a fully retractable location fwd of the cockpit just off the centre line.

Joes F-111K bit.

Cheers

F-111K would undoubtedly need/require a re-engineing.  My own particular candidate is the afterburning TF41 that Allison/Rolls-Royce developed through full-scale ground testing.  *G* Perhaps with some input/competition from SNECMA based on their work adapting the TF30 as the TF104/TF106/TF306 engine.
