In my defence, I owned a Ford Mondeo Mk 3 for a few months before trading it for a Jaguar. On the upside, it had the V6 engine as well as some wood inside, even in the steering wheel.

I ran one of those, a V6 Estate, as a company car for 2.5 yrs. A cracking engine. 

It was pretty good, but HOPELESS in the snow, no traction at all. Its gear lever also fell off once, just as I was accelerating away from the Severn Bridge Tolls. MOST embarrassing!
