I read recently that a company in Florida has put the Goose back into production, powered by two PT-6's.
The prototype was shown at Oshkosh, and apparently there has been a lot of interest, both civil and military.
They have all the original Grumman drawings which have been updatedand the engineering tolerance improved from the original which was 1/16th of an inch!
One other change that they have made is the windscreen. The original two piece screen has been rep[laced by a single curved one.

Jay Bee-- I can't take credit for the find, but "Just Call Me Ray" found this link to the "Antilles Goose" (Florida is at least NEAR!) of which you spoke:

My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

Good call SQR. However the company is based in Florida for production. I will try and find the mag. that I read it in when I am back in at w*** tomorrow. (My family never accept that I go to work, they insist that I only go on duty!).

Loius Lamour is more known for his Western stories, but he had some short stories about a more modern character set WW.II who flew around in an armed Goose which had guns in the wings.  Some of this guys encounters with other fighters is quite entertaining.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
