Subaru Legacy Veterinary Intensive Care Ambulance (VICA).

Subaru Legacy VICA - 19 by Fred Maillardet, on Flickr

Why is it only humans that tget rushed to hospital in specialist vehicles capable of sustaining their life?  Surely dogs (and to a lesser extent other animals) also require such treatment?

Subaru Legacy VICA - 4 by Fred Maillardet, on Flickr

The VICA will whisk our furry friends to the nearest Veterinary Hospital Emergency Room while their life is supported by the latest in animal specific medical technology.

The Model.

Aoshima Subaru Legacy Touring Wagon (1/24).  Lowered by the simple expedient of drilling out the tops of the shock mounts.
Rear seat folded flat.
Interior dressed with various 1/35 stowage & equipment.
Scratchbuilt green flashing light.
Home made transfers.  The script on the windows is printed mirrored and then put on the inside so as to retain a shiny smooth finish on the outside.  First time i've tried this and i'm pleased with the result.

Ok...that reminded me of ye auld TV series Emergency! .  Loved it as a kid, and having done it "professionally", can't stand it today.

I may have asked this before, but is that the 3.0 litre flat six engine?

It has the bonnet scoop which was only fitted on those cars in the UK, but could be different in Oz.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

When the budgie is delivered to the centre, please attend a Norwegian Blue Parrot , currently believed to be lying down exhausted after a prolonged squawk.  Owner Mr Montague Python.

A cracking good job, sir, you have every reason to be proud of it!

Thanks folks.

I didn't mention, the black on the windows is permanent texter (marker pen).  Without masks I find it easier to get a good line where I want it using a pen than a brush.
I wish now i'd masked and painted black the black parts of the window surround bodywork.

As it's a kerbside kit the engine can be whatever your imagination wants it to be.  Although i'd have thought you'd have wanted the biggest one so as to get Fluffy to hospital as fast as possible.
Model would be of a Japanese market car.

OK, it IS a 3.0 litre flat six then.  ;D

You can't tell from the underside view as it's got that big shield in place.
