Thought I would start this thread to cover other Hawk builds that I may post other than the Brazilian Navy Hawk elsewhere. The T-45C Conversion set for that should be here this month, with luck

Presently this thread will start off with a Hawk 200 build using the Airfix Hawk 200 Fuselage and wings, and the  NAZA Model Art conversion set.

Oh, and that IS the instruction sheet  :o

First problem is the kit's exhaust which looks like this

So I bought some brass tube which was too small, them I bought some more which fitted just nice  ;D

So nice that I was able to glue it in place with no problem at all

So the next stage will be to paint the inside of the exhaust and some plastic card as well then glue the plastic card inside the rear fuselage. On second thoughts I will use some black foam fixed in place with some plastic card after the exhaust is painted. I have been meaning to try out this method for ages after seeing Dizzyfugu use it and had nothing to use it with,  :banghead: I do now

Looking good!
I'd never seen that conversion set, is it still in production?

Same here - never heard of this set, but it looks very good.

Didn't Omega do a Hawk 200 conversion for the Italeri Hawk 120?  Is this one maybe the same but under a different label?

Not the same conversion set. This guy does his own stuff. He's Malaysian and does conversion sets to produce items that are particular to his country, hence the Hawk conversion set.
He does batch builds, so not everything is available all the time. Found the set by goeing through scalemates as I wanted a better kit than the Matchbox one which is ideal for whiffing.
Bigest problem with them is the instructions, as in what instructions, the picture I posted is what you get and nothing else.
This one will be a real world build, not decided which operator though, leaning towards a Saudi aircraft but that could change.

Cheers Gondor.  Saudi Hawk 200?  Maybe - how about smaller Gulf States, e.g. Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, Bahrain?

Sorry, should have been Oman. Saudi have the two seaters.  :banghead:

One of my Matchbox Hawks I am thinking of building as a Swiss aircraft, but that will probably be another F/A-45 build, because of mountains and things like that  ;D

And I missed you'd said real world!  Thought it was for whiffery.  Yes an Omani example would be nice.
