Congratulations!
That makes me dream of a mixed-power zwilling: propeller-Shinden1 on the port side, jet-Shinden3 on starboard... Maybe I will draw it before someone builds it. ;)

Cool model

... and photography is way above average too (sometimes I understate things)

Looks good to me. Well done and welcome to the whif-central.

I thought we had to fail the Normalcy test to get into the forum, 😂

I bought the answers off Weaver.

Excellent rescue job Gary.  I've been thinking about doing similar to a 1/72 Shinden.  Without a prop their legs are just too long.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Gary - great pictures, but the P-39 picture looks like it was taken at a Russian airfield in WWII.

Thanks Frank!   That's exactly how I hoped it would look!  ;D I'm taking my finished Tamiya Meteor over there for some photos soon.

Welcome aboard!!!
Nice work on the jet Shinden.
If that F-5 is 1/72nd scale I have that decal sheet and I need to do that Philippines version.

Thank you kerick!   I'm afraid the F-5 is 1/48 it's the only scale I work on.

Nice! Reminds me that I want to build a jet-powered Shinden (with the help of a resin conversion set from Russia, which consists probably of copied Hasegawa parts... ), too. I actually had pictures of your build saved for this project as a reminder.  ;D

Thanks Dizzyfugu!  Cool plan and I'm flattered that you'd already saved these pics.

Thanks Tophe!   You may have to work on that torque-steer... ;).

   Cheater!   ;D. Thanks for the kind words zenrat!   Cut those legs down, you'll be glad that you did!

Hey, I have to ask, is it standard procedure around here to not receive notifications of replies to threads?   So far, I've received none and I believe the settings are set right.   Just curious about that...

I've NEVER got one, but I always plough through every new posting anyway, so it doesn't matter.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

Looks like it is possible to select options for email notifications at https://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php?action=profile;area=notification;u=6276

The entire forum seems to get a couple of pages of updated threads in a day. So, looking at "unread posts since last visit" is not a chore for me.

I see no faults, just opportunities for extra back-story details. ;)
... Such as;
"The poor quality of metals available to the Japanese at this late stage of the war meant that the J7W3 was prone to cracks forming in the skin near the transition from the rear fuselage to the jet exhaust. These cracks were usually welded several times before being cut out & replaced with new (often inferior) alloy sheets."

So great!!!
