An idea came into my head to convert the Italeri 1/72 Boeing MH-47E into an ASW helicopter.  I know that the CH-46 Sea Knight was flown by the Swedish Navy in this role and the test pilot Eric 'Winkle ' Brown thought it was a good idea at the time.
The search radar could be fitted under the chin or attached to the upper rear  loading door,  a dipping sonar and torpedo racks added to the sides of the fuselage.
Maybe a kitbash using the MH-47E and a Sea Knight,  shortening the fuel tanks possibly or wing stubs for the torpedoes to be carried on.
On the other hand,  storage would have been a bit of a problem for the Royal Navy above and below decks on their aircraft carriers, unless they had a purpose built submarine to house  and refuel them.
I'm not too sure if I can get hold of a 1/72 submarine kit,  1/144 might be better.
