How about a truly accurate BL car kit? Each kit has slightly different parts in it, not all of them fitting. Then you put it on the shelf and after three years it collapses into a pile of rust. Ah, Mondeo memories.

The Austin FX-4 taxi had the same problem towards the end of it's production run. Gaps in the doors, any engine that will fit and different steering racks.
I drove the TX1 for saint Dunstan's charity for the war blind now called Blind Veterans UK. I don't think they have the taxi anymore. Happy days.
