On the 11th October 2021, x2 B-1s left RAF Fairford on the first take-off of their UK (European) deployment. It was around 7am at first light on a cool Fairford morning with both aircraft showing spectacular afterburners, the noise & vibration was like thunder - sound up!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMQH5NjhSJU

They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

Any aircraft can be improved by giving it a SHARKMOUTH!

When I was working my office (when I was in it....) was a few miles north west of Fairford and the usual take-off path took them almost overhead! We certainly knew when something was going on!  :o

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Looks they're from Dyess AFB. I spent a little time there back in 2003. We used to watch the Bones takeoff at night.

That's 18 years ago, and the same aircraft are still in the frontline. It's a bit like if Bristol Fighters had been employed on first line duties at the outbreak of the second world war.
And yes, I know that the B-52's are decades older still, but the Bones still look up to date, something the B-52 hasn't been able to pull off on almost fifty years..  ;)
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!
