Remember, if the reality police ask you haven't seen us in ages!
When does "old enough to know better" kick in?

Truck springs  and heavy duty shock absorbers were fitted to cope with the extra weight.

You don't say?  ;D ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Don't look too closely because after glueing the chassis and body together I found the dashboard and steering wheel still in the box...

More than likely neither are required.
This is more a vehicle you Aim, rather than drive.

Nice work

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

That's worked remarkably well Fred

It's got a bit of a "caricature" look about it from that shot, must be the headlights

They do have the look of eyes about them don't they.
The black dots are the pins with which they mount to the model.

I'm pleased you think it looks like a caricature.  A cartoonish vibe is something I aspire to with a lot of of my builds.

A character from an as-yet unfilmed 'Cars' sequel, maybe? ;)

We aim to please  ;D No, I realise there's quite often that "look" about your builds

Sometimes someone just hits upon a look or proportions or mix of parts which just captures something indefinable which "looks right" to my eye.  Some people here manage it more often than others, possibly because our sensibilities are in tune or maybe because we are similarly bonkers.

I wish I could define it so I could do it every time but more often than not the finished model doesn't match the picture in my head.

Excuse me, Fred, but I see a lot of WHITE dots, with a little black corner, they look quite as eyes to me. I thoight those were for frightening the enemies.  <_<
Your car is very pristine, must be just out form the factory/clandestine workshop.
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

I did weather it.  Maybe I was too subtle.
There are rust washes and chipping and dust.  The dust is Vallejo pigments which I haven't used before and which I need to get used to.
But as a policing vehicle in (albeit middle eastern in the 1960's) an urban environment it wouldn't be a filthy as a tank can get.
