Snow Cat was one but I don't think it would go into water.

And an Arctic/Antarctic War GB is doing quite well in the next GB poll too - it's Karma, man...

As small as that ARKTOS vehicle is, to build a model of one, I wonder if you couldn't take two of those small "toon style" tank kits and modify them to look like an ARKTOS type arctic vehicle? Those toon tanks do have small treads when looking at them from the side.
Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

Not that good. :( It's getting beat by a bunch of other suggestions.

I think the technical term is "Arctos Evacuation Craft".  I saw a few when I was working on the Alaska North Slope oilfields  10 years ago.  Any pictures were devoured by photobucket, unfortunately. They are made to get crews off of offshore Arctic oil platforms in case things go south in a hurry, across ice, flaming crude or open water. Fun, fun, fun!
