The Wooksta!

Well, not quite.  It's the old Airfix FGA9 but with a resin P1083 wing.  I reasoned that the increased thrust of the big bore Avon and the more advanced wing would be enough to give the specified performance without recourse to reheat.

The resin wings were part of a set of three gifted some time back and the model was built last year but finished recently. 20 Sqn markings as the aircraft on the front of the Airfix box with a similar weapons fit, albeit Revell rather than  the Airfix ones.

I recently acquired two more sets of the same wings so another two are on the cards.  Possibly a Blue Diamonds one.

I like that, it doesn't really stand out as anything
More than a normal Hunter. Unless of course it's next to normal Hunter I guess.

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

That's the reason I went for the Airfix markings. Anyone looking sees an Airfix Hunter and walks past, but the wings are subtly different enough to stick in the mind  and force the viewer to look again.
