Very cool. 

The inherent pitch issues of a T-tail might make things interesting in some conditions. 

Got me thinking about doing the reverse to an A10.

 


Perhaps something along the lines of this earlier Northrop arrangement so you can
reuse the A-10 engine pods.

This could be more challenging. But grafting engine nacelles from a Su-25 (kit) onto the A-10 hull and moving the wings to the shoulder should work. Do away with the landing gear nacelles and propably the wing kink, and maybe change to a T-tail (the original twin tail might be too low/close to the jet efflux now), too?

Severe dihedral on the stabs with twin, outward canted vertical tails below them on the ends.

The tank in the background reminds me of one of the pre-war British Vickers mediums. Don't think you'd need anything bigger than a 0.5" mg to deal with that though

Oh that illustration is interesting, engines could almost be vectoring...... there's an idea
