I'd had a passing thought, and your excellent build has only reinforced it - what if No.19 Squadron had converted to Tempest Mk.IIs - radial engined DooleyBird anyone ? 
(you knew there was a reason Matchbox Tempest IIs existed)

Thank you. Personally, I am not a fan of the LF Spitfire - to me the clipped wings ruin the elegant look of the aircraft, esp. of those with a bubble canopy and with the slender Merlin engine. While building the fake Dooleybird I already made a mental note that I have to do a Mk. 16 with normal wings, as I assume that this will be the most pleasing Spitfire incarnation to me.
