Hi all!

Wondering if anyone could explain Finnish aircraft markings to me.

I'm aware that the first letter indicates the manufacturer (eg: M=Messerschmitt/MiG, F=Fokker, C=Curtis, etc., although I note that Curtis P-40's captured from the Soviets had a "K" prefix & that Polikarpov I-16's had a "V") & that the number is the aircraft sequence number as purchased/received from the manufacturer but I was wondering if there is any logic to the second letter?

Says that certainly for most aircraft both letters are part of the aircraft name, and of course being Finland they may spell words differently from English or not use sequential letters all the time.
