A Hunter variant to compete with the de Havilland DH.108 Swallow. I am planning to use a rather odd 1/48 Lindberg kit which includes a working rubber-band powered ejection seat (may be needed). I made a few initial cuts in the soft plastic.

Probably breaks every Health and safety regulation in the book nowadays  ;D

I seem to recall that ejecting on the real Hunter was a risky event.

Not glued together yet, just test fitting. I am new here, by the way.

It works amazingly well.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

It does, doesn't it

Welcome by the way.

So, Mr Barnagat has done a Fred (zenrat) to a Hunter, instead of a Lightning!

Thanks for the welcome. I swear that I had not seen the Lightning until today. There was a comment in that thread about the XF-92 which brought back a memory from about 1980 where I bought two kits on sale and joined them into a side-by-side twin version, very much like I things seen here on what-if.

I like this a lot.  Very neatly done.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
