Sounds reasonable Mossie.

You might be able to adapt the ammunition feeds in the bomb bay mounted ones so that it was belt rather than drum fed and thus have more that 15 rounds per gun ?

Coastal Command ?

40mm's in a mossie..sweet  ;D
2 would probably be the limit if you want a larger amount of ammo..since 40 mm guns use gravity feeds not belts room would be needed for the magazines which would have to sit above the guns.
Spring pressure systems could be used to help feed the rds into the guns .
If Bofors guns are used which is likely then the rds would have to be fead from above the breach as thats the only way the guns will work without a major redesign of the entire firing mechanism ..man this would be a fun project  ;D
Heres a couple of stats for ya to consider.
The 20mm rds size is 20mm x 110mm.
The 40mm rds size is 40mm x 311mm.
You can see why two guns would give you still alot of fire power but also more ammo .
Butttt since this is wiffy world and more is better..the 4 like Mossie said and two more in the wing roots  and yup..Coastal Command  ;D
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .
