I'm trying to work out what's attacking them from above in that third bottom image ?

Nah seriously they are neat  The Zeppelin attacks on London are a fascinating subject and I've a couple of good books on the subject, including First Blitz, which is a good primer. Some of the attacks were quite close to where I live.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Airships have always fascinated me, I wish I was older so that I could have seen some of the really large ones flying.

But the largest I've ever seen was the Goodyear 'Europa' ship that they had over here in the 70s-80s, and that was about a TENTH of the size of the R100, the Hindenburg or the Akron/Macon pair. :(
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

I have found this site that shows "historical or reportage" clothes for zeppelin crewmen  As there are swastikas, I assume nazi period  . Civilian use of zeppelins in nazi period is not fictional.

Are this clothes for civilian use: liners ...?

Were zeppelins or dirigibles used militarly by any of participants in/during WWII? As bombers?

The cap looks like a Zeppelin Officers cap as worn by Officers and the Captain of Zeppelins during the NSDAP (Nazi) period up to 1940.

USA used a good number of airships during WWII.
"primary tasks were patrol and convoy escort near the American coastline. They also served as an organization centre for the convoys to direct ship movements, and were used in naval search and rescue operations. Rarer duties of the airships included aerophoto reconnaissance, naval mine-laying and mine-sweeping, parachute unit transport and deployment, cargo and personnel transportation. "
