I picked up both of these model kits at a past model auction as nobody else wanted them.
Tomorrow, I plan to go to a model swap meet in my area and am hoping to sell both of these.

The Valiant is in good condition. Box is decent with no major damage. Parts sprues are still sealed in original bags. Instructions and decals are also in decent condition. I was thinking maybe selling it for $40?

The Vulcan kit is worse. Box is beat up. Parts sprues are still sealed in original bags. Instructions are slightly dirty and faded, but still readable. Decals are crap and can't be salvaged. I was thinking maybe selling for $20?

Please only reply with US dollar amounts on what you think I could sell these for. Not British pounds.

Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

Think those prices are quite fair.  The Vulcan still builds okay and the Valiant is fairly new, so you should reach the prices.

Edit:  Given the prices the new tool Vulcan is costing, I don't think the older tool kit boxings would lose too much in value.  The early ones are apparently the better ones to go for, and that looks like a CPG original from 1983.  Should tell you on the side of the box.

Sounds like a appropriate model meet type price.  What part of the US are you in?

Wisconsin - Land of cheese and bratwurst.  ;D

Probably the very worst item I'll be trying to sell is a Trumpeter 1/32 scale A-10 Warthog N/AW two-seater. Box is in good shape. A lot of parts are off of sprues and had to be re-bagged. But the previous owner of the kit decided to remove the pilots and all bombs and multiple ejector racks. And he assembled a few pieces too.
No way I can get anywhere above $50 for the kit.

Yeah, it is from 1983. Kit # 09002.

Well, I didn't manage to sell the Valiant or the Vulcan bombers at the swap meet today. :( Nobody was interested. So now they'll sit in my bedroom till probably March next year when I'll just donate them to a model contest raffle.

Philistines, the lot of them. Don't recognise a bargain when they see one.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Must be regional, reasonable prices and both would've been picked up out here in the PNW.  :o

Surprised the Valiant isn't sought after, only released twice since it was created 11 years ago.

Both bomber models were from the stash of a modeler who passed away last year. He was pretty much into collecting/building British aircraft model kits.
