Saab Safir Whif

Been toying with doing a Luftwaffe '46 Saab Safir, but as a "Bucker 281" development of the Bestmann. It isn't too far from the realms of possibility, seeing as they were both designed by Anders Andersson. Has anyone else on here tried something similar?

A Bestmann development, based on the Safir, sounds like an idea.
One thing that concerns me a bit is the engine. I don't think Germany was making flat engines at the time. A nose from some other German design might make it more credible.

I've seen something similar on an IPMS Sweden exhibition. Can't find any photo evidence, though.

Further to Perttime's comment on flat engines, they were already in German vehicles of the time, so they "could" have made it into aircraft by '46. Which saves me a lot of work, (because there's nowt in the spares bin that is even remotely usable.)
