I can hear the Ballad of Bilbo Baggins, man...

The Wooksta!

I have an assembled Vulcan that was going to go in Hemp/Light Aircraft Grey but it's on the back burner for now.

Be careful if you go googling for "pink Nimrods". Other than this warning I'm not touching that phrase with a ten foot/three meter pole!

When I worked for a local university, I had a request from an older lecturer how he could find out some more information about "LaTEX" which was a typesetting program for Unix.  Without thinking about it I suggested that he type the term into a search engine.  Off he toddled but a few hours later he fronted me, rather upset and a little angry.  He's done what I's suggested and been appalled with the result.   He later laughed about it appreciating the joke but he was a good, Christian, god-fearing man and was appalled initially.   ;)  ;)

I just tried that, and as I suspected while the textual responses were benign (top result was actually LaTEX) the image results were much more interesting...

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

You could paint your Vulcan this colour below. This was the first attempt at painting a Nimrod in Hemp. The photo was sent to me by another Air-Britain member who was also one of the painters that painted this. The photo shows it just after being rolled out of the paint shop.

Apparently, the Station Commander was livid when he saw it for the first time, he was going to place the paint shop supervisor on a charge until he was shown the work order with a specific paint number on it pertaining to the colour being used. The aircraft was left like it was until it's first major  overhaul came around, but under strict orders that it wasn't to be shown in public and when on the ground, parked in some out of view part of the airfield.

Why? That's quite a nice colour.

But it wasn't what they wanted, or ordered either.
