I've already done some work with jmf65 on the graphic art forum regarding a F-104 type light-weight fighter designed with greater wing-taper and area with some reduction in aspect ratio with the goal of retaining high speed performance and extracting a little bit more low-speed handling.

That thread was more graphics related than aerodynamically related (and jmf65 seems to be ignoring my post for some reason) is more of an aerodynamics question than a graphics question, so I'm not sure if anybody can be of help, but what's the smallest chord you could fit to a plane with wings as thin as these and still carry a 150-170 gallon tank on the tip?

I'm curious because the F-104 has very thin wings which could present aeroelasticity issues, but at the same time the root is much larger chordwise and you'd instinctively think it would give more structural support across the rest of the wing.
That being said, I'd like to remind everybody in a manner reminiscent of the SNL bit on Julian Assange, that no matter how I die: It was murder (even if there was a suicide note or a video of me peacefully dying in my sleep); should I be framed for a criminal offense or disappear, you know to blame.

I like concept that is the mix of the two, and I do not really like the X-7. I actually drew a couple of concepts like that, one called the Crow and the other the Raven. I should pull them out sometime.

Ok, but I'm kinda busy. When I find them and scan them, I'll put them in the topic "Aarcesair Air Corps Plan Database and others".

Just look up Lockheed's own plan to upgrade the Starfighter called the CL1200 Lancer.
