The Wooksta!

Couple of my recently finished Supermarine Swifts.

First is a FRADU one, based on the Xtrakit one and built when it came out. A simple repaint and has been kicking about for years, painted but no decals. Mixture of Modelart and Xtradecal finished it off.
The bang seat was going to be an Aeroclub MB mk3, but the cockpit floor is too high so the canopy wouldn't close. Cue scrabbling to find the kit seat.
The wheels need the axles drilling out further else they don't fit properly. Both issues were why it never got to Telford.

The second is the Airfix kit. Again, built when I got it, and again, languished in the box until 2020 when I decided to give it a laser designator in the nose, cutting one down from a Jag. Cue another two years of languishing in the box before I pulled it out some weeks back.
Add some pylons for weapons and go for a wraparound scheme.  Looks different but went with a training unit (58 sqn, part of the TWU in the 70s) sent to Red Flag.  Used as an aggressor, hence the red star on the tail and the CCCP markings.  They would operate as pairs, with one painting the target for the other, which has the bombs and then it would follow with cluster bombs.
What you can't see is the zap applied by the hooligans of 607 sqn after it was based at RAF Acklington for a jolly outing over the Otterburn ranges.

Really happy with this one and other Airfix Swift is part started to do another, but in Mid Stone and Dark Earth wraparound.

If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

I'd finished the Type 535 but forgot to pack it.  Not happy with it anyway.
