Even tho the pic don't look that great on my phone I can tell there's a bloody great looking mossie there  ;D
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Here she is all finished up.  I got focused on my next project, a Christmas-themed build, so not much in the way of backstory, other than a failure of the Manhattan Project leading to a full scale invasion of Japan in late 1945.  With the Allies needing as much air power as they can muster the USMC received a number of former RAF Mosquitos no longer needed in the European Theater.

Kit is the wonderful Tamiya 1/48 FB.VI built OOB other than replacing the kit's Browning .303 guns with more powerful .50 cal guns represented by copper tubing.

When I posted some pics on a Facebook page earlier I received a message questioning the metallic surface under the paint chipping on the wings and other areas that should be wooden, but the wood areas of the Mossie were covered in fabric and primed with aluminium dope before final painting.  I did a RW Mossie a few yers ago with wood showing through the chipped areas and love how it looks, but apparently it's not accurate.  Oh well.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I do like that.  A fine aircraft and great markings.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

That dark blue suits all aircraft... excellent work on the weathering!

Beautiful. Very sleek in the all-blue finish.
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Sometimes the simple schemes are the most dramatic and this one is dazzling
Whatever.

I'm very late, but what a beauty! I'm a sucker for reverse-lend-lease stuff, and a USMC Mossie, wow!
