The Wooksta!

Hmm, nice enough build but...

Gyron?  Given the amount of fuel designed into Lightning, I'd assume it'd be on critical warning as soon as the wheels lifted off.  The intake underneath is too similar to that on the P.1121, and Gyron *REALLY* disliked that, to the point that Hawker were going to use Olympus instead as it was that problematic.

It's fat enough to carry another gallon or two compared to the original design, methinks. And regardless, it's really cool!
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

Old Hot Rod t shirt of mine ..
Practically and functionality are overruled when it's cool  ;D
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Thanks for the kind comments, folks. I'm glad I persevered and finished it.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Very ,very cool, even if I have to agree with the Wooksta about the range. I would never have expected to see "a longer-range" associated with the Lightning...
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

The Wooksta!

There's another issue - weight. The engine is where the wings spars go through the fuselage, so it would have to have circular frames around the engine strong enough to carry the wings and these will add weight. Hawker ran into the same issue with P.1121.
