Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Well for the work so far and trial fits, working well it would seem

The main focus is now in designing the island. Will have to do a few test prints to see how it looks in "reality". The test prints will be made with the FDM printer, the final one with the resin printer.

Adding the "pyramids" which will later host the sensors. Also, the forward bridge windows have been added. On the hull, some extensions will be added.

More design work on the island: Funnels in a German F124 style added, also the flight control room.
On the pyramids, some gaps to add AEGIS have been placed, but I guess I will switch for APAR instead.

As the F300 will not have a docking bay, this one will be closed

Some updates on the island structure, a FDM testprint:

The AEGIS is now replaced with an APAR, Three antennas on the forward pyramid, the fourth one on the backward one. Also, a SMART-L long range radar is added on top of the backward pyramid.
Two 48 VLS launchers are added in front and behind the island.

In the final version, this will be all printed with the resin printer and as separate parts for better printing and painting. More sensors will be next.

Fascinating watch this come together with the various test prints etc, and the Contacta "bottle" gives us a sense of scale

Now working on a some of the smaller resin printed parts.

Designed the SMART-L radar and the FL1800 S ECM system. The later one is really tiny and I am surprised that it could be printed.

Additionally, some scaled and printed CIWS System from Thingiverse.

Captain Canada

Have to make a small section of the hangar as this one can be seen form the open aircraft lift.

After doing a few tests, this is what needs to be printed. The big "block" is the lower section of the backward VLS.

Working a bit more on the hangar, the basic 3D model is now ok, so some smaller details can be added
