Today I had to go into Blackburn to get a new phone SIM, and across from the shop was a The works outlet. So I bought myself some new paint brushes and a palette for the peincely sum of £5.50. The brushes are nice and soft too, one pack has 9 in for £3, the other 5 for £1.50. I was in need of some nee brushes, and these I thought were bob on.

I used 2 of them last night painting the M-26 and the Conqueror, and they are nice to use, I think I shall get some more next time I am near there.

Chris I know your going to SMW so I'd hang on if I were you. There are normally two specialist paint brush sellers at SMW (I normally top up my collection) who have an enormous selection of shapes and sizes in both natural and artificial hair. Decent prices as well.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

@NARSES2  Hya Chris, I can't make it to Telford this year as I am about to move house. The paint brushes are what I found whilst having a nosy around the works.
Cheers

The Works can be quite useful for various things.

Oddly, after years condemning the brushes in the Airfix starter sets as "worthless garbage", I found that they are rather useful for painting canopy frames.

Cheers Chris - we've got a The Works in town so I'll have a look the next time I'm passing. Not that I need any standard brushes mind you (got a lifetime's supply I think) but some of those flat ones look interesting.
