It gets dangerous when Phill thinks!

Always dangerous when a Grunt thinks... that's what Officers NCOs are for!

Phill, tell your Voices to quit it!  ;)

And I'm enjoying this thinking thing and it's all your guys fault anyway cause if ya didn't come up with such good ideas my mind wouldn't wander off into other places and do more of that thinking thing
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

I think this is looking great! Much better than the Sgt. York mess.

Thanks to Mossie and this thinking thing I've rediscovered it's going to look even better now and really make the Sgt York look like the pile of crap that it was .

The Americans could have had an M48 hull with a PRTL turret instead ... but, quite likely, NIH struck again.
... I know all this and more ...

I was on the range for part of the Sgt York testing and that thing couldn't find its own a$$. It just didn't work. One of the faults people complained about was the fact that it was on an M48 chassis which would have been too slow to keep up with the then new Abrams and Bradley. Well, put it on a new chassis then! Facts where it didn't work and the Army didn't really want it so it was dumped. Anyway, yours looks so much better and not even done yet! Carry on!

Ken I'm with ya on that waste of money..ive read reports which stated the thing spent more time being worked on than it did being tested.
The choice of the M48 chassis was a case of "that will do cause there it is " .
At the time the M60 was still in service and somebody forgot it was also being fased out ..this th.ing was doomed from the start cause just taking a pile of bits from here and there and slapping them together and expecting them to work perfectly was stupidity at its extreme .
Now I gotta find 4 Stinger missiles in my pile of bits..shouldn't be a problem  ;D

I have a strong feeling there was more politics involved with it than engineering.

Go with that feeling dude and out money on too.
Your gonna win both ways .
Somebody wanting to make themselves more important had a hand in this thing for sure.
Anybody with common sense would have seen his was a failure from the get go.
Common sense though didn't play it's part here I'm afraid.
