Great to see a photo of him and his family in happy times
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Thanks for doing that Cap'n.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

absolutely

I have been in contact with Tope, both of us living in France, and I know his postal address ;
his mailbox was apparently overloaded and blocked, so I tried a snail/paper mail, and got an e-mail answer from his wife.

Tophe passed away on aug. 5, due to cancer.

He had mentioned it over the past few years, but discretely enough for us not to be too afraid.
He was probably over-sensitive for some questions and topics, and at the same time of a deep kindness and desire to please others.

To me, he was an extra-ordinary person, in more than one sense.
In our whiff world, his imagination was extraordinary, in that he was exploratory to the extreme,
knowing no bound, and for every new idea or observed shape, trying out every possible combination,
in a quite scientific way actually, including all those that we would not have dared to think of, even less to show around.
His flow of ideas was so fast that he had no time for elaborate or clean implementation,
but the richness and density of unexpected and incredible and never-seen-before was a form of poetry and magic.

He was a source of inspiration, as I made several builds out of his ideas,
and also because he was setting the whole notion of whiffing so totally free.

I feel very sad, to tears, I am missing him sourly already, I needed his craziness around to feed my own.

Rest In Peace Tophe

I've learned about it via Secret projects - and way too late. "Met" him in 2006 at this very place. He was a true gentleman. He will be missed. As for cancer... how we hate that illness. Burn in hell, criminal illness.
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.
