The Wooksta!

Having had more ideas but running out of legacy airframes to use, it's time for more recycling.

This was finished the day before the 1997 Sunderland show.  It was the day of Saint Diana's funeral.

It's got to be stripped back, as the varnish has yellowed.

I loathe the wartime Croats.  Not only were they Nazi collaborators, they were so brutal that even the SS were sickened.  Let that sink in as you realise just how much of a c*** they'd have to be to sicken those vile genocidal psychopaths.  The markings have got to go.

Cue this fella.  I know it'll cut through that particular paint - Aeromaster enamel with Humbrol flat enamel varnish.

So into a ziplock bag, spray into it, close and leave.

Now we play the waiting game...

I'm bored of this.  Think I'll play murder in the dark...

After six hours, Dr Magic has done his stuff.

Currently draining and drying out.

There's a few stubborn under stains to remove and the sanding pads should fix that.

So, what's the plan?  A late war anti tank aircraft.  Appliqué armour around the cockpit a la the Sturm Staffel aircraft, BFO cannons under the wings, big prop with the 18 blade fan, plus Ta 152 fin and wheels.  The scheme is going to be based on a 190F in the Eduard profipack.

So I need to do some casting.  Again.

All the tidy up has been done and the tailfin is ready to go on.  I've located the armour and the cannons are already primed.

In the meantime, there's a D series that's also come out for recycling.  Initially it was in Italian markings and had Panzerblitz racks underneath.  I'll post some photos at a later date' but it's already got a Ta 152 style fin and a smooth top cowl.  Again, it's likely to get the BFO cannons underwing.

Some "before" photos of the stripped Italian one.

The cowling had already fallen off and one undercarriage leg had snapped at the root.

Oddly, the base 76 coat underneath didn't come off, but the Panzerblitz racks did.
