You don't hear about it very often in the news, but I've seen articles that Russia is trying to make aggressive grabs in the Arctic and is even placing missile defenses near some of it's northernmost outposts and research bases.
The Arctic and Antarctica are vast unexplored areas of land. Who knows what valuable resources there could be for exploitation with various nations fighting over them?

we did a "let it snow" GB and got some great contributions.  Time for a fresh snow storm.

There was an Antarctic War thread many years back and I've got a vague recollection that a GB or themed build was proposed.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Fairground stalls

I haven't been to the funfair since I was a teenager, alot has changed and some of the traditional stalls have been kept. So there's scope for whiffery from the ghost train to the shooting range.
The Airfix Bond Bug would make an excellent dodgem car, that type of thing.

Human powered and non-motorised vehicles & aircraft

From soapbox cars, pedal power, gliders or sailing boats.

Right, thank you for your input gents, I'm going to lock this now and start looking at organising the votes.

Whilst having considerably less suggestions than last year, thank you  ;D , I still feel it's probably best to run first and second round polls, so that is the way I'll be going. As for how many votes you'll get and how many will go through to the final round, I'll use last year as a template but I'm not going to be constrained by it. So basically it depends on how I feel on the day

I'm afraid it's unlikely that I'll be able to get around to organising the first round before next week, although I might get a chance tomorrow (Friday) as I'm a bit busy over the next few days. So keep your eyes open.

Thanks again for your input gents

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
