Concieved as an upgraded  Jaguar, the aircraft had so many differences to the original  Jaguar, that it was given a new name. The Cougar was envisaged to work eith all the good points of the Jaguar airframe, iron out any shortfalls found, and incorporate suitable updated systems, to make sure both the RAF and other Jaguar users had a potent low level strike aircraft well into the 21st century. The French didn't want to know, as they were still enamoured with the Mirage 2000 platform. The kit is the Hasegawa  Mitsubishi T-2, with some bits stolen from the tornado GR4 and a pair of 3D printed sea eagle missiles. The aircraft is participating in a joint excercise with Norway Sweden and Finland in the Arctic circle Baltic sea area.

NARSES2

That's neat Chris

Looks as though there could be a little Starfighter and F.5 in its lineage somewhere as well.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Cheers Chris, the kit was built oob, just a change in ordnance ,paint and markings. I have started to build its single seat counterpart.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

There's something elegant about the T-2 and 2 seater Jags, and you've captured it.
Whatever.

I have a half built T-2 in a drawer. This build is giving me uncomfortable ideas!

Very nice Smeds, I have just started the single seater F-1 version. I am thinking of doing it as a desert storm aircraft.

I did these several years ago - Two seater in ETPS colours and the single seat in RAF camo.

I need to take better pictures now and I'm not using Photobucket anymore. https://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php?topic=36289.msg582837#msg582837

Brilliant
They look like "proper" fighter aircraft from when I was a kid, much like the lightning, Buccaneer and Hunter, so they just have to be pressed into an RAF variant. I thought yours was part of the Wonka factory defence force for a minute. ;D
