Today was the first show for four years due to You Know What.
We didn't rush to get there, rocking up after a dog walk and a leisurely Sunday fry up,  Consequently we missed the fly past by an RAAF Hercules.  Shame, because I particularly wanted to see that.  The last programme I had seen had it flying mid afternoon but it was obviously rescheduled.  However, plenty else to see and it was a grand day out.
Sun was out, temps hit about 37℃ and as always on an airfield once you get away from the hangers there is no shade unless you bring your own.  Mrs z found a little shade in the lee of a hanger and watched the displays from there while I braved the sunshine.

I took a heap of pics.  Flying shots are not much cop because I don't have a long lens. But anyway its better to watch them through mk1 eyeballs than a camera.

All my pics can be found here..

This was my favourite plane today.  Ryan ST-M/2 in Dutch East Indies colours.  It flew with a Percival Procter,  I couldn't believe how noisy the Gypsy Major powering the Procter was.

T-28 in Royal Laos scheme (my favourite roundels) flew a couple of times.  Apparently an aircraft which actually operate out of Laos during the Vietnam police action.  Note the rego.

CAC Avon Sabre did a few passes but didn't stop.  Don't look for more pics, that's it - definitely not something I was going to experience through a lens.

Corsair and Avenger flew.  There is a series of pics of the Avenger unfolding as it taxis towards me.

There were Harvards, Winjeels, an RAAF 100 sqn CAC Mustang joined in without landing, and I got to see up close the two Stearmans (Stearmen?) I keep seeing flying over stately zen manor.

And finally, just to show that factories painting cars boring grey is nothing new...

Looks an absolute BLAST Fred! Wonderful pics indeed, I LOVE the Seabee!

And I see what you mean about the T-28's reggie.  ;D

Yes, it's grey, but you do have to admit that in this case it has a certain restrained , superior presence...........especially amongst more modern vehicles

And it has proper chrome-work!

A Rover P5 is ALWAYS superior, it's built into the car at the factory.  ;D

Neat photos Fred, cheers
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Rover P5s were VERY hefty, and were remarkably strong too.

Back in the 60s we built two Estate variants of them at Pressed Steel, one for our CEO (If CEOs actually existed back then....) and one for Rover's. And they were both upgraded to V8 engined P5Bs after a while. I'm not sure if either of them still exist though. They did tend to rust rather badly, but all '60s cars did.

Captain Canada

Great looking show ! The formations are really cool. I like the one with all the trainers. That would be neat to see. Also cool to see an Ercoupe

It was a good day out.  First time I went.  Probly not the last.
Very well organised with plentiful shuttle buses to and from the huge parking paddock.
