School Library is Flying High!

St Helen's Primary School in Bristol has just opened their new library. The twist? It's in an old airliner!

They've bought and refurbished the front half of a BAe146 which was built at Filton just down the road. This should encourage kids into reading. They even restored the cockpit!

So in that case, what could we use a Sea King for?  There might be some more coming up for disposal shortly....   I'm thinking of perhaps changing the undercarriage and towing it backwards, like an Airstream caravan.  Or perhaps as a home office or overflow accommodation.

That is after you've disposed of all the asbestos and chromates, obviously  .

It would be nice for a couple of airliner seats were still in there for extra places for kids to sit and read. It would give a little more of the aircraft experience.
