...had decided that the RAF idea of anti-flash white was a great idea? Yes, there were some bombers, B-47 included, that had a white anti-flash underside, but this will be all white. Everything else will be standard.

I see, thought you meant RAF. But I don't feel like printing my own decals this time, too frustrating. Might have to print some, looks like the thin black stripes have a non-white tint between them, and that includes the 'USAF', so that may clash with the white.

Though if they used OTS decals for the aircraft, and they had the off-white bits already there... not wanting to waste (too many) taxpayer dollars, you see.

If you found some 1/48 or 1/32 USAAC roundels, would they be the right size?

Decalling has begun, and, of course, it didn't go well on the large wing stripes. The port side one broke in a couple of places, but was salvaged. I put a coat of Micro Decal Film on the other - no problem. Should hopefully have this done in a couple of days.

looking forward to the all white.  It can be a tough color to paint, at least for me! 

Amazing that it first flew in 1947.  A big leap.
