😂

You crack on and build your version, Devilfish,  it'll be good to compare builds.

Just fill in the vee on the intake and have it squared off. That would give it a very different look.

So, the wings, tailplanes and modified fin have been attached and work has begun on modifying the engine intakes:

I'm grafting on some Hunter intakes from a scrapped Revell Hunter (thanks for the source item, Dominic).  Some may think the intakes are rather RF-84F Thunderflashy - you're not wrong - but inspiration (and a desire to maintain some form of Hawker lineage going) comes from:

I think the fin may be a tad too small - looked fine right up until the wings were on so maybe some ventral strakes may be in order.

I don't know why but there's something vaguely HAL Marut-ish about it, even though it looks nothing like it.  Also I'm rather pleased there's also a slight hint of Hawker P.1129 in there too.  At least to my eyes!

JUST what I was thinking!

It's the curvy fin and wingtips and the spine that do it.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model
