Perhaps a good thing NASA didn't use KSP2 as a 'proof of concept' simulation.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Also, the real reason for the KSP2 launch delays:

Okay, so the first patch for KSP-2 has just dropped and it has... 281 FIXES!!!

So many, in fact, that nobody's managed to review it properly yet. Here's a few edited hightlights:

Scott Manley's done a loooong livestream about it, but I haven't had time to watch it yet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dg4kFDJNL98

Nice find Scooter!

I suppose I should have posted about this before now, but it was too depressing:

KSP2 is dead.

About three months ago, Intercept Games pulled the plug and shut down the team developing it. There was little communication and players had to basically figure it out for themselves when somebody spotted the notice-of-closure posted to local government where the KSP-2 office was located, and people then saw well-known members of the dev team looking for new jobs on Linkedin. The game is still available, but no development work is taking place.

Shadowzone seems to have developed the best contacts behind the scenes and put together this pretty impressive post-mortem:

KSP-1 is still going and there seems to be some appetite for taking it as far as possible towards KSP-2 by using mods.
