I got this kit about a month ago and just finished it. The long, boring build thread is over at BTS. I want to try new techniques for painting faces; it's probably the hardest process for me, second only to (successfully) making paper models.

The figures are well detailed for injection molding; as far as I can tell, by comparing various kits, is that ICM did the sculpting/molding for AK Interactive.

I started with the "Hipster with a shotgun" - I used a scalpel to deepen the beard and knit cap. He went from this:

to this:

Next was "Bubba", the hunter drinking a liquid meal:

Next was the woman. The kit comes with tiny three part soda cans. I couldn't fit the can in her hand, so i used a Miniart beer bottle, which fit nicely:

There's some dust and the always present cat hair in these pictures...

I added "hair" to her forehead, made from a paper shop towel slightly shredded and glued in place.

The last figure was the fisherman. I broke the fishing rod several times trying to bend it. I ended up saving the reel end and replacing the rest with thin styrene rod and fine nylon rigging thread.
Here he is on the back of a boat, reeling in an old boot (from a Tamiya figure):

I promptly dropped him and broke the fishing rod, again. Here he is reeling in nothing:

These four figures took just over a month to finish. It's nice to have civilian figures, though.

Very nice Frank mate ..figure painting is  not easy and dude your rockin these  ;D
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Old Wombat

A brass antenna might work as an option to styrene for the fishing rod.

By the way, excellent work on all the figures, Frank!

Frank really like how these have come out.

The finish on the denim shorts is great on the young lady

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

They've really come out well and I love the fisherman figure reeling in the boot  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Rheged

When the quality of workmanship is such that the denizens of Chateau Rheged are trying to work out from the detail on the bottle  what brand of ale  the young lady is drinking; that's work of the highest order!!

Thanks. It was mostly mindless dry brushing with a lighter shade of the base color.
