OK I is confused!

The Turks used a mix bag of Spitfires, a few mark 1s (3)

I have seen them modelled with an all night underside - but I am thinking it should be the black/white under scheme, any views??

Also they had Mk-VB and Cs, but I can only find pics on the universal winged versions. I believe these were used on later Bs - anyone know please?

Sorry to be a nimpty

There is no such thing as a silly question!   It's a perfectly reasonable enquiry, to which I don't have an answer.

I'm away from my references, but from memory the Mk 1as were supplied direct from RAF stocks and likely had the black/white undersurfaces.  The ailerons should be in aluminium dope.

All Vbs that served overseas had the later screen with internal armour glass.

Best reference offhand would be Air Britain's Spitfire International.

Thank you gentlemen.

It looks like at least one aircraft, serial "1" was all black undersides - one of the modellers has seen a pic of it back in RAF in Egypt with all black undersides "Make it So!"
As for the "V" it will be a C with a universal wing but "B" serials - prove me wrong!
