I painted the flying surfaces today.  Gloss black in preparation for Alclad.

I alcladded the wings and tails today.  Stainless Steel.
Shiny in places but I also got some blooming - patchy chalky finish - on all parts.

This happened last time I painted an airframe with Alclad Stainless Steel (Lavochkin La 200b) and I then blamed temperature and/or humidity.  It wasn't particularly humid today or cold.  I may have put the paint on too thickly.
On the Lavochkin I polished the bloom off (exposing the gloss black undercoat in some places).  I'll try polishing on this but if I strike black i'll do a new (light) coat of metal.
