It may be just my own nostalgia,  but I think of the 80's as kind of golden era for toys. Action figures, electronic toys and computer toys were really coming into there own but more traditional toys (like Dinky) were still easily available.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

The 80s? I was in my third, and last, job then! :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

In the 80s the toys I played with had engines...admittedly I was in my 20s then and I liked speed ...my old Matchbox toys didn't cut it anymore  ;D
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

As was I  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

1983-91 was one of my many jobs (USAF) and I got to play with some cool toys. Lots of radios, M151 jeeps, M998 HUMMVs, M16 rifles, M1911 and M9 pistols, AK-47s and lots of jets out on the range. Drove a Bradley in 2003. Fun times!

We controlled A-10s, A-7Ds, A-7Es, F-4s, F-18s, F-16s. No foreign types, F-15Es or B-52s.
Almost forgot, Thai F-5s, in Thailand. Beautiful country.

The ability to control the rapid movement of landscape from one place to many others... oh, the power!  ;D
