Hi Guys !!

Here I continue with my uchrony, which began with the  http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,36361.0/highlight,flitzer.html.

1. The story

Axis contains the Soviets more or less on the Ukrainian and Belarus borders. Thus it keeps the hand on the Romanian oil.
Allies, terrified by the new Nazi mass destruction weapon, do not dare attacking. By the way, the Manhattan project is late. Americans try to develop nevertheless a more powerfull bomb, while the German one is limited to "a few" kilotons.
Meanwhile, air recce led from Egypt by Republic F-12 A Rainbows and some harassment raids of Consolidated B-32 Dominators maintain a pressure on the defenders. The Reich, lacking of troops, gives the defence of Ploesti oil facilities to the Romanians to gain air superiority.
Rejected by the Luftwaffe, Lippisch P.13a enters production in a very short series (16 aircrafts) for the Fortele Aeriene Regale Romana (Royal Romanian Air Force, FARR). A special unit, Escadrilâ Caucescu (name of its squadron leader, a pure fascist), receives the type. Very quickly and despite of poor training, the squadron enters operations.
The Escadrilâ Caucescu gets good results : 7 of 8attempted interceptions cause the destruction of at least one enemy aircraft. Because of the poor training and the unusual flight capacity of the Lippisch, some were lost.

2. The kit

Very little and simply kit, the PM Modell P.13a could have been finished soon if the adjustments have been fair and the clear part fitted well. Mastic and sanding (very good for giving a rest to the neuron), German inspired paint (ugly as usual : I really need to learn a lot about airbrush), decals from the box (those causing an horrible silvering) and old Esci (Romanian crosses), cleared up through the window to the sun (or the clouds, thanks to the nice winter  ). Klir varnished (disappointed by the result), smooth weathering and the pocket iron thrones on its trolley, kindly delivered by PM.

Waiting for your comments!

Nice. Always like seeing models in the other Axis countries markings
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

A bizarre little machine. I do like Romanian markings, and the combination works well here. Nicely done!
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

Thank you !!

For some people the Lippisch could have hardly fly. Well, far away from a Volksjäger...  :banghead:

Lippisch was a genius and this little coal-burning delta fighter was one of his most amazing, if a little obscure, projects. This model is a nice representation of this not often seen paper aircraft. In original markings too. Bravo!!

I bought the PM kit a few years ago. Ended up as a test-bed for paint trials. ;D

Thank you very much, Michel. A too smart appreciation indeed.
