Well, I gotta be honest and say thats the first double swing wing plane I've ever seen!  :D

Can't help but wonder how it would fly....  :unsure:

I really LOVE the idea!!!
Even if a classic winged aircraft would be cheaper for the russian futur tactical aircraft, I prefer this solution!! It's funnier!!!

Wow

Now thats going to make an intereting model for somebody. Looks a big beast as well if that size comparison chart is anything to go by. We know the Russians want to do a flanker replacement and to counter the F-22 somehow but.... that looks expensive !!!!, good but unaffordable i would guess.

Interesting design, but it's going to be a right royal PITA (Pain In The donkey) to get the mechanisms coordinated and sorted out, not to mention the maintenance requirements.  Still, it'd make an "interesting' model.

Follow that link, and click the top left-hand icon: takes you to the main page. On ther you can select translated versions - my Russian is just good enough to navigate that far. But I've downloaded the Russian version and if it says anything different from the English I'll post it and let you know.

Talk about your scissor wing...

I wouldn't want to be the maintenance guy working on the wings if they accidently closed!  :o

I wonder if you swung the wings together, in opposite directions on the opposites sides of the aircraft (port forward, starboard aft) if it would help the aircraft turn?

How about the wings being jettisonable, so that if you take heavy damage to one, you can eject that one and its mate and still have a pair of wings?  ;)  
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.
