complain to Airfix! they're very good with sorting out missing/damaged parts. I'm sure there's a customer care page on their website

I agree with that Mike - I've found them excellent the few times I've had to send something back

Chris
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Okay, I will check out that site.  How long do you suppose it will take to deliver the parts to California from England?

One: As the self proclaimed Arrow JMN here, I applaud your upgrade package on the venerable Canuck Triangle! Nothing there looks out of place. As for the canopy...I found an F-14 canopy fits the fuselage perfectly.
If worst comes to worst for the DC-10, you can always use each fuselage half fastened to a backboard as a half fuselage profile model...kind of like you'd see as  a side illustration. You can then go to town on wild and crazy schemes, and have TWO versions you can show....Gunship anyone????
Muh-wa-hahahahahahaha!
Actually...AirForce One comes to mind, as well as the projected ASW variant offered to the CAF back in the early 70s.....

The DC10 is most definitely a real world one.  However it is of a now defunct airline on which I flew for the first time as a five year old going to a different land from where I was born.  A land that became home for me eventually.
Saint Alvis,
Now for your gunship idea, wouldn't the A380 be a better platform for this?  Which reminds me...Have you seen the fire fighting water bombers that are being made from former airliners (747 for example)....Firefighting A380....ACA380...AWACS A380...KC A380...You know you want to do this

I shall endeavour to make this arrow as good as possible.  Especially now that I have had Saint Alvis' blessing!

I've done a few "heavies" as fire fighting planes..the B-52 was the biggest model to make that trip...but as for using the "real" things..I can only hope for some sort of mid altitude delivery, as the rapid throttle response on a jet is lacking, especially in a "oh crud there's a hill" situation...a 747 WOULD make a good 2 KM fire break if it pancaked in tho....
A friend of mine was at Conair when they were doing a 737 firebomber project...which involved not only engineering in the belly tank, but a VERY complex gear door system to allow passage of the main gear into it. Accountants eventually put an end to THAT idea...likely for the best, as it used a -300 sereis 737, not exactly known for over powered engines...
Good luck on the Arrow my son..good luck (places hand on top of head in a fatherly way)  ^_^

Better not tell Evergreen Aviation, then...
