I recently took some photos of the RB.211 at Cosford, and I think that's the very engine used on G-AXLR, so I may have to do some work on the engine.
I've got a few photos from the VC-10 site, but more would be very welcome.

One RB211 that was definitely used on G-AXLR ended up in the Derby Silk Mill (of all places): http://www.derby.gov.uk/LeisureCulture/MuseumsGalleries/AtWorktreasureRB211.htm.

The RB.211 at cosford is of the same type: RB211-22. May also have been used on G-AXLR, but the caption only says 'used for flight tests'.
