Naive question: on these wonderful models, is Gold the colour or the matter? (I personally guess the latter ^_^ )

Yeah, my first "gulp" was at the beautiful colors of the first two subjects.
Is that more due to the lighting or have you concocted some great shade of ... tan/grey/something???

Heh -- it's the crappy $0.60 light bulb I have in my desk lamp combined with the settings on my camera. As for the "silk sheet" -- it's a medium blue cotton percale bedsheet that I drape over everything when I want to take a pic. Again with the bad lighting...
