If memory serves me, the inlet itself helps attenuate the signal (don't ask how, I can't say) and Boeing did propose some RAM coated straightening vanes for the inlet to better shield the fan forward face.

Is that frigging New Zealand?!?! I love it! the camo really looks good on that bird. Even if it is one of the ugliest planes ever designed. I was going to paint my Academy P-40E up for New Zealand recently....but then I found out they really had them....
