My wife was just about to throw out her empty jar of eye gel creme when in a fit of whimsy I decided to see if I can use it instead of the paint jar that accompanies my el-cheap air brush and guess what???

And what's more, the shape of the inside of the jar makes it dead easy to clean.

You'll have to trim the plastic tube pretty short, but I think it'd work quite well, especially if you only do a little air brushing like on wings and fuselages.

So start haunting the cosmetic counter to try to snaffle up empty sample jars.
